What is 1:1 mentorship?
One-on-one mentorship is a private, high-touch relationship designed to support the whole ecology of your leadership. We work closely across a defined arc of three, six, or nine months, tending the vision you are carrying, the human being carrying it, and the structures required to bring it into form. We meet through private video sessions, with an ongoing voice and written messaging channel between them. This allows you to bring the work into the room while it is still alive, and allows me to know the landscape of your life well enough to offer counsel that is specific, integrated, and rooted in the whole picture. I hold this mentorship primarily from the high desert of Bend, Oregon, digitally, and with opportunity to come together as we choose along the journey. I work globally with leaders, practitioners, creators, facilitators, and community builders, from wherever they may be.

What is high-touch mentorship?
High-touch mentorship is a close, ongoing relationship held across three, six, or nine months. How do I reach Lindsay between sessions?
I enter each private mentorship channel once per working day. This is close and consistent support held within clear boundaries. It is not around-the-clock or emergency access. We establish communication rhythms, working days, response expectations, time away, and any other important agreements before the mentorship begins. I promise a 24-48 hour response time unless otherwise noted, with time for personal and offline periods as they arise. Strong edges protect the depth of the relationship.
What is 1:1 mentorship with Lindsay James?
One-on-one mentorship is a season of devoted, private work between you and me, shaped to exactly where you stand. Together we define your vision, refine what’s true, and align your life around it, so you come into right-relationship with yourself and the life you’re making. The work is somatic, ceremonial, and practical at once. I hold it from the high desert of Bend, Oregon, in person and online, in arcs of three, six, or nine months, with the closest work held across the nine-month arc. What does each mentorship include?
Each mentorship arc is held through high-touch online mentorship, private calls, and immersive time devoted entirely to you and the work you are carrying. Alongside our live sessions, you have a private voice and written messaging channel where you can bring me what is unfolding while it is still alive. I enter that space each working day to listen, reflect, challenge, and respond within the clear agreements we establish before we begin. Every mentorship arc also includes a private, six-hour immersion once each quarter. We may meet in Central Oregon or online, depending on the work and what will serve it best. These days give us room to step outside the usual pace of a call and work deeply with the whole field. We may use ceremony, nature, strategic visioning, embodied practice, creative development, difficult conversations, systems work, rest, reflection, or whatever the living work asks of us. Clients in the six- and nine-month arcs also receive a private two-night, three-day immersion with me in Central Oregon. This is devoted, spacious time for ceremony, nature immersion, deep inquiry, practical creation, and the kind of work that needs more room than a screen or an hour can offer. We step fully inside the season you are living and give it the time, attention, and landscape it deserves. Travel to Central Oregon, lodging, meals, and related travel expenses are separate from the mentorship investment. When traveling to me creates a genuine barrier, I may be able to travel to the client. These arrangements are considered individually and discussed in depth before the mentorship begins. Any additional travel time, expenses, lodging, or adjustments to the investment will be agreed upon clearly and in advance. Nothing hidden. Nothing added halfway through. We know the shape of the journey before we say yes.
How do I choose between three, six, and nine months?
The three-month arc is designed for a focused threshold, consequential decision, distinct body of work, or season requiring concentrated movement. The six-month arc allows us to build, refine, meet the patterns the building reveals, and strengthen the life and systems beneath the work. The nine-month arc offers the deepest runway for substantial bodies of work, far-reaching transitions, and sustained leadership development. We will discuss the season you are in and feel for the arc with enough room to hold it honestly.
How do we begin?
You book a call, and we talk. The conversation is where we feel whether this is ours to do together. If it’s a yes, we shape the arc to your life and your season, and we begin. If this level of devotion is calling, that’s usually the truest sign to reach out. There’s no pressure on the call and no script. Just two people feeling for the fit, simple and honest.
Is mentorship in person or online?
Both. The ongoing mentorship is held online through private video sessions and our dedicated voice and written messaging channel. Longer immersions may be held in Central Oregon or online, depending on the arc and the nature of the work. Clients in six- and nine-month containers also receive a private in-person weekend immersion in Central Oregon. For those who want it, we can fold in ceremony, breath, and embodied work in person. We shape the rhythm on our first call.
Who is mentorship for?
I work with people already deep in their own becoming, who want depth, truth, and spirit in the room. This work is for leaders already carrying real responsibility. You may be guiding a practice, team, community, body of work, movement, organization, or significant creative vision. You may be moving money, resources, people, teachings, or decisions with a reach beyond your own life. This mentorship is especially suited to people who are already deep in their own development and are ready for honest reflection, substantial investment, and active participation in the work.
How many private clients do you hold at once?
I hold only a small number of private mentorship clients at one time. This allows me to know each landscape, remember the threads, remain responsive to what is unfolding, and bring the level of attention this work requires.
Is this therapy or crisis support?
No. This mentorship does not replace medical care, psychotherapy, psychiatric support, emergency services, or crisis intervention. If your primary need is clinical, medical, or crisis-based, that deserves the appropriate licensed or emergency support beside you. Mentorship can exist alongside other forms of care when each role is clearly understood.
Will you make decisions for me?
No. I will offer reflection, counsel, challenge, strategy, questions, and an honest mirror. I may help you see the choice more clearly, hear what your body already knows, examine the consequences, and recognize the pattern shaping the moment. The decision remains yours. The purpose of this work is to strengthen your discernment and inner authority, not replace them with mine.
